Job Overview:

Transak seeks a Risk and Compliance Operations director for our fiat on/off-ramp integration for apps. This role involves a technical/data-driven approach to building systems, products, and features to ensure compliance with financial regulations, mitigating risks such as fraud and chargebacks, and maintaining high ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement transaction monitoring systems for crypto transactions and various payment methods.
• Engage and negotiate with external vendors and technology providers for compliance and reporting requirements.
• Integrate KYC, KYB, fraud detection, and chargeback management into our platform.
• Write product specifications and collaborate with the engineering team to automate and productize risk and compliance solutions.
• Develop compliance and risk management information systems to ensure smooth reporting on key performance indicators and key risk indicators to senior management.
• Analyze on-chain and off-chain transactions to identify and mitigate fraud and money laundering risks.
• Stay up-to-date with trends and regulations in crypto and financial sectors.
• Manage product performance to meet customer adoption and revenue targets.
• Work cross-functionally with compliance, legal, technology, and business teams.

Qualifications:

• At least 8 years of experience in crypto transactions, payments, and/or risk management.
• Knowledge of transaction monitoring, KYC, KYB, fraud detection, and chargebacks.
• Technical ability to translate compliance requirements into automated solutions.
• Experience with B2B SaaS/payments and compliance in financial services.
• Proficiency with collaboration and agile tools like Linear, Rally, JIRA, Confluence (we use Linear).
• Excellent written, verbal, and social skills.
• Technical product management experience, preferably in a fast-paced online environment.
