Senior Manager of Product Management
Reporting to COO - Based in Lisbon, Portugal

The Senior Manager of Product Management will drive the development and delivery of innovative Web3 blockchain solutions at SKALE Labs that meet the needs of our project developer community, our partners, and budding open source business. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams in the development and launch of successful blockchain products.

The Senior Manager of Product Management brings the Web3 project owners, the Web3 service partners, and critical stakeholders needs into the organization. It is not enough for the Product team to prioritize the features needed to make the customer happy; the Senior Manager of Product Management must consider the complete product experience. That means considering the customer at every stage of product development.

An understanding of blockchain technology is desired but is not an aboslute requirment if you have a very strong product management skillset.

It is the Manager’s job to ensure that the entire company understands the vision and direction for the product. Yes, this is a shared responsibility with the CEO and other executives, but the Senior Manager of Product Management has a unique responsibility to communicate and reinforce that strategy across teams.

A highly successful Senior Manager will constantly run sessions with the product team, customer-facing teams, as well as sales, support and the executive team. They need to truly understand what each party is hearing and thinking, and then bake those learnings into their strategy. Each meeting is an opportunity to refine the roadmap to expand the types of customers that we could serve.

A successful Senior Manager of Product Management will be maniacally focused on improving plans based on what they learn and will have a deep passion to create internal alignment and excitement. Being able to describe the aspirations of all stakeholders for the product is a critical attribute for this role. Building a great product is not a popularity contest. The Senior Manager of Product Management must ask the tough questions that nobody else wants to. They keep the customer in mind while questioning how planned work relates to the product’s purpose and goals. When the rest of the team is doing the work, it is the PM’s job to ask, “Are we building what matters?”
Great products are the result of a team effort. That is why the Senior Manager of Product Management acts as a cross-functional leader, bringing the organization together to meet business goals.

It’s important that the Senior Manager of Product Management is one of the company’s best storytellers. To be clear, the Senior Managerneeds to be able to spin the most exquisite product yarn to excite the team internally and all external stakeholders.

Finally, the Senior Manager of Product Management must be able to see into the Future by understanding the past. It is the PM's role to set the product and the company on a course to stay relevant and valuable.

Responsibilities:
Develop and execute the company's product roadmap and strategy in alignment with company goals and market needs
Lead a cross functional team from Sales, Partners, Engineering, and QA responsible for defining, launching, and refining the company’s offerings
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform product strategy and positioning
Work closely with Engineering, Design, Sales, and Marketing teams to ensure successful product development and launch
Collaborate with project owners, partners and stakeholders to understand their needs and gather feedback on product performance
Manage the product life cycle, from ideation to end-of-life, to ensure business efficient use of capital, project owner satisfaction, partner buy-in and end consumer satisfaction
Represent the company at industry events and trade shows as a subject matter expert

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a related field, Master's degree preferred
Strong English language skills as you will work with a US and Ukrainian team
3+ years of experience in product management in a product lead role as a product manager
Proven track record of successfully launching software in the cloud products
Proven track record of writing clear and complete product requirement documents and testing plans
Experience leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Strong market and competitor analysis skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
Strong leadership and mentorship skills
Insatiable curiosity. They read a lot, listen more than they speak, engage in activities outside of their industry, and draw on all of that information for insights and predictive decision-making.
