About Us

Rho is the all-in-one banking platform for startups and the accountants supporting them. With banking setup in minutes, 2% cashback cards, and powerful tools for managing spend, paying bills, and closing the books, Rho helps high-growth startups move fast and stay focused, backed by support that goes to the end of the earth to help you win.

About the Role

Rho is hiring a Head of Community to lead our startup events and founder engagement strategy. You’ll own the Community GTM channel from top to bottom, building grassroots trust in key markets and turning it into qualified pipeline, revenue, and brand equity.

  • You’ll play a key role in supporting Rho’s brand-building efforts by creating standout in-person programs that resonate with founders and VCs. In SF and NYC, that means mentoring our community leads and scaling what’s already working. In new markets, that means showing up first, hosting, listening, learning, and building momentum from scratch. You’ll manage a budget, track real pipeline outcomes, and help us turn in-person connections into a repeatable growth engine.

  • You’ll also be a brand ambassador and public-facing voice for Rho. You’ll represent the company in rooms with founders and investors, host and participate in events, and create content that reflects what you are seeing on the ground. You won’t just run the channel, you’ll embody it, building trust through presence, relationships, and signal.

  • You’ll work closely with Sales, Growth, Marketing, and Partnerships to align every program to GTM priorities. You will know what moves the needle and what doesn’t. You will bring insights from the field back into the business. And you will hold a high bar for what it means to show up well as a brand: premium, thoughtful, and founder-first.

We’re looking for someone outgoing, credible, and deeply connected to the startup world. You might be a former founder, investor, or operator. You know the difference between hosting an event and building a market. You are creative. You have taste. And you are ready to scale what works, build what is missing, and own a number.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Community GTM channel with full accountability for lead generation, conversion impact, and market growth

  • Act as both strategist and executor. You will lead the function while also launching programs yourself

  • Manage and mentor Events & Community Managers in SF and NYC, guiding strategy, execution, and program quality

  • Personally lead in-market activations in new regions, acting as Rho’s local presence and primary operator until coverage scales

  • Design and execute multi-market programs, from intimate founder dinners to larger ecosystem activations that build trust and drive pipeline

  • Partner with Sales to align on ICP targeting, funnel stages, and go-to-market sequencing in priority markets

  • Serve as a public-facing ambassador for Rho. Host events, build relationships, and create content that reflects what’s happening on the ground. You think in video and narrative. If it’s not captured, it didn’t happen

  • Collaborate with:

    • VP of Marketing on brand visibility, messaging, and budget planning

    • Director of VC/Startup Partnerships on co-hosted programs with investors and ecosystem partners

    • RevOps on attribution, tracking, and feedback loops

    • Sales and Growth to drive end-to-end GTM alignment. Support ABM strategy and in-market execution through regional founder experiences that match stage, persona, and deal cycle

  • Track and report on key metrics, including SQLs, CAC efficiency, program ROI, and revenue contribution

  • Hold a high bar for taste and execution quality. Ensure every event and touchpoint reflects a premium, thoughtful, founder-first experience

Qualifications

  • 8 to 12 years of experience in GTM, community, or field strategy roles at high-growth startups, VC firms, or ecosystem-driven platforms

  • Deep fluency in the SF founder ecosystem and strong existing relationships. While you'll support other markets, SF will be a core focus

  • Proven ability to build regional or national programs that drive both brand awareness and measurable pipeline

  • Track record of leading cross-functional initiatives with Sales, Partnerships, and executive stakeholders

  • Strong as both strategist and operator. You lead teams and get in the weeds to launch, host, and execute

  • Comfortable owning a revenue-generating channel with clear KPIs and performance targets

  • Creative thinker with operational discipline. You move from idea to execution quickly and cleanly

  • Clear, confident communicator with founder-level credibility. You know how to host the room and represent the brand

  • Willingness to travel 10 to 30 percent for market visits, events, and in-person execution
