About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced, detail-oriented, and results driven Sr. Credit Analyst to join our Credit team in the New York City Soho Office. You will also work with members of our data, sales, risk operations, client development, and other teams to provide a frictionless experience for our clients while ensuring compliance with internal policies. This role will require you to be efficient and nimble. The primary business hours are 9:00 am ET to 6:00 pm ET.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the credit application process from information gathering to credit underwriting and post-closing monitoring.

  • Perform credit analyses, utilizing Excel and other software tools, including building a cash flow statement and analyzing bank data

  • Leverage internal and external tools and databases to complete company due diligence across business attributes such as products, customers, management team, and capital formation

  • Effectively communicate credit-application requirements and status to internal and external parties verbally and in writing

  • Update accounting and bank data across all portfolio companies each month

  • Monitor clients’ banking and card activities, and provide risk alerts and recommendations

  • Maintain up-to-date client files by ensuring connectivity to third-party accounting and bank data platforms, and collecting and tracking financials and other information on a regular basis

  • Assist and manage other credit team members on all aspects of underwriting, risk monitoring, portfolio management, and ad hoc projects as needed

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of full-time experience at a bank, fintech lender, accounting firm, or similar institution

  • Excellent interpersonal skills across a variety of communication styles. Ability to work cross functionally

  • Quantitative background, including degree in mathematics, natural sciences, or engineering

  • Proficient in U.S. GAAP and three-statement financial modeling in Excel

  • Extreme attention to detail, capable of performing work with ownership mentality

  • Comfortable working independently and managing ambiguity in a fast paced environment

  • Extreme intellectual and personal integrity

  • Capable of multi-tasking across competing assignments with changing priorities and deadlines

  • Bonus points if you have experience in (1) SQL/data query languages, (2) investigative research, and/or (3) studying the DTC ramen industry and being able to articulate whether or not it's cyclical

Our people are our most valuable asset. The salary range for this role is $85,000 - $120,000. In addition to base pay, Rho offers equity, healthcare benefits and paid time off.
