About the Role

The OTC Trader is responsible for pricing, managing and executing risk positions in crypto and FX markets as well as providing critical, accurate, and timely delivery of service and support to PDAX's OTC Trading Desk catered to Prime retail and institutional clients and counterparties.

General Responsibilities

• Ensure the efficient functioning of the Treasury Department to meet customer requirements and targets, especially in the service of the OTC trading desk and its customers.

• Performs Treasury activities related to cash/crypto flow and source liquidity for PDAX and its customers.

• Executes the purchase/sale of cryptocurrencies facing customers and square-off risk positions with market counter-parties.

• Manage crypto, FX and liquidity risk on behalf of PDAX as its market-facing dealing unit.

• Price and monitor risks in the day-to-day operations and Treasury functions of PDAX's of high visibility, priority products: OTC & Internal Market-Making.

• Monitor and write daily commentaries on the cryptocurrency and FX markets for customers.

• Enhance the trading desk's alpha and pricing competitiveness by making correct calls as needed as well as optimizing position taking and management.

• Lead front-office operational activities and pursue business development initiatives for Treasury and Trading alongside the Treasurer.

Qualifications

Education

• University degree or equivalent experience required. Concentration in business, finance, economics, math or preferred.

Abilities and Skills

• Trading and Risk-management (sell-side)

• Ability to establish appropriate priorities, work on multiple projects concurrently and have a customer-first attitude

• Detail and service-oriented

• Strong analytical and planning skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to think quickly and multi-task efficiently

• Extremely high attention to detail and time management is essential

• Must have an entrepreneurial spirit

Experience

• At least 3-5 years of working experience with a strong background in trading and markets (particularly sell-side).

• Treasury Certified Professional (BAP-TCP) and SEC license is a plus. Likewise, experience in institutional Crypto OTC trading is also a plus.

• Preferably Subject matter expert specializing in Crypto & FX Trading, Treasury, Banking/Financial Services or equivalent.

• Passionate about the global financial markets, crypto, blockchain and its use cases and current macro events.
