We are seeking a talented and motivated FIX Connectivity Engineer to join our dynamic team within the Cboe Silexx department. In this role, you will be instrumental in certifying and maintaining FIX sessions with external counterparties, troubleshooting trading-related operational issues, and collaborating on the development of order flow functionality. This role is critical to ensuring seamless connectivity and exceptional client experience in a fast-paced trading environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Onboarding & Certification: Manage the onboarding and certification process for new clients, ensuring smooth FIX session connectivity with Cboe's systems.
- FIX Session Management: Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to FIX sessions and trading-related connectivity, working closely with external clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Support & Issue Resolution: Provide second-line support for all FIX connectivity-related issues, escalating and coordinating with internal technical teams as needed.
- Collaboration: Work closely with business units, developers, QA, and infrastructure teams to ensure optimal integration of client connectivity with order flow processes.
- Operational Monitoring: Maintain high standards of operational excellence by monitoring and improving the performance, reliability, and security of the FIX gateway.

Qualifications:
- Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience in FIX Connectivity Engineering or a similar systems analysis role, with a deep understanding of the FIX protocol.
- Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of electronic trading, market access, and financial markets.
- Technical Expertise: Familiarity with Windows and UNIX/Linux environments, PostgreSQL and networking fundamentals. You are proficient in an object oriented programming language, preferable .NET/C#.
- Client Onboarding: Proven experience with FIX client onboarding and certification for various asset classes.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to address complex connectivity and trading issues.
- Project Management: Ability to prioritize tasks, coordinate across teams, and meet tight deadlines.
Additional (preferred) Skills:
- Knowledge of EMS/OMS systems and third-party networks like Fidessa, NYFIX, Bloomberg, or TradingScreen.
- Understanding of network security, encryption protocols, and secure communications.
