Job Description

OPRA – Market Data Compliance Analyst

The OPRA Compliance Analyst (OCA) will assist with market data licensing and policy compliance audits. The OCA will also facilitate distributor and bulk subscriber on-boarding and usage reporting by utilizing existing and new tools and technology.

Audit Responsibilities:

  • Assists with audits consisting of verifying the accuracy of vendor reporting, reviewing vendor agreements, and obtaining any information relating to new products offered.
  • Identify, recommend, and help implement process and technology improvements for audit and vendor reporting processes.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of vendor data requirements and identify improvements in control and risk management practices. Identify value-added recommendations that are focused on the root cause, using critical and creative thinking.

On-boarding/Licensing Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate vendor on-boarding. Respond to queries, license, and manage new vendor distributors.
  • Review data feed subscriber requests, license and manage new data feed customers.
  • Receive data feed device usage reports and input usage numbers into the billing system.
  • Vendor relationship management. Serve as a vendor contact and manage strategic relationships with vendor.
  • Educate and ensure that vendors and feed subscribers are properly managing and reporting OPRA data usage.
  • Third Party Risk Management/Due Diligence Management. Become familiar with Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Enterprise Risk Management & other policies as they relate to the administration of OPRA and manage and respond to OPRA vendors and subscribers.
  • Support team members for AP, AR and GL purposes

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

Position requires a working knowledge of general market data principles and policies. Also, a working knowledge of the equity and derivative trading industry. Must be able to communicate the intricacies of specific OPRA market data policies to global distributors, banks and trading firms. Must analyze complex and unique data usage scenarios in order to apply appropriate licensing and fees to data vendors and subscribers.

Work Experience, Education

  • 3 to 5 years experience in Finance and/or Market data industry
  • College Degree required. FISD FIA Certificate a plus.
  • Knowledge or interest in automation and/or programming a plus.
  • Experience with Salesforce or a CRM platform is a plus.
