Job Description

Position Summary:

Maintains meaningful working relationships between member firms and the end users that leads to order flow by performing various associated activities. This coverage job could include maintaining relationships with Sell Side firms, proprietary firms and institutions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs a combination of the following duties according to departmental guidelines:

· Works with senior management to develop strategic ideas to maximize order flow to Cboe.

· Work on teams in finding ways to maximize the effectiveness of the company’s strategic plan

· Contributes to preparation of quarterly business reviews and Board updates

· Works with member firms and personnel to monitor their option business, determine if appropriate level of option flow is being procured, communicating this information to staff and members.

· Generates and analyzes reports on each firm’s progress - while revising programs and objectives as necessary. At times, makes recommendations to Senior Director or other members of management based on the analyses.

· Serves as the primary contact between Cboe and member firms to create and advance a relationship of service and trust that results in increased order flow.

· Schedules, arranges and conducts functions that acquaint Cboe staff with member firm order flow providers.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience:

· Minimum of five (5) year’s account management experience with financial markets/options industry experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Full knowledge of laws, exchange rules and regulations as they apply to public companies and the financial industry.

· Full knowledge of – but not limited to - the US listed options market and overall market structure. Advanced knowledge of equites and futures products is also warranted.

· Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing and to interact with internal and external contacts.

· Ability to analyze and evaluate facts and make correct decisions.

· Ability to perform frequent travel which may include overnight and international travel.

· Intermediate level computer skills with MS Office Suite and other business related software.

· Regular attendance at the work place in a traditional office environment is required.

Education and Licenses:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Marketing, Business or related area; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Possessing (or obtaining in a timely fashion) the required FINRA licenses which may include Series 7, 9/10, 24, 55 and 63.

As required by the New York City Human Rights Law, Cboe provides a reasonable range of minimum base salary for roles that may be performed in New York City. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, level of experience, etc. For New York City only, the range of starting base salary for this role is $144,000-$237,000. Additional incentive compensation and benefits may be available.
