Job Description

Primary Purpose of the Role

This derivatives account coverage role will be responsible for maintaining meaningful working relationships between member firms and the end users of our products leading to order flow being executed on exchange. There will be considerations within the role focusing on coverage between both options and futures, with an emphasis on fixed income and credit. This role includes maintaining relationships with Sell Side firms, Buys Side firms, proprietary firms & institutions and is responsible for executing a distribution effort to expand the usage of Cboe and CFE’s suite of derivatives products.

Major Job Duties

  • Serves as the primary contact between CFE with new and existing firms to create and advance a proven relationship of responsiveness, customer service, trust and engagement.
  • Create and deliver customized consultative solutions to target firms in order to increase volumes and expand the client base in CFE’s futures product suite.
  • Works with member firms (TPHs) and personnel to monitor their futures business, determine if appropriate level of futures and options on futures flow is being procured, communicating this information to staff and members.
  • Develop knowledge of CFE technology, including but not limited to connectivity, order types, routing strategies in effort to support and identify needs of member firms and prospective members.
  • Full understanding of pricing and exchange fee schedule and active engagement with clients in order to solicit feedback and determine impact of proposed changes.
  • Attend internal and external meetings, conferences, and conference calls to support Account Coverage team efforts to sell current and new products.
  • Aggregate client feedback and deliver to management for purposes of improving our products and end user experience.
  • Gathers and internalizes relevant market intelligence to help manage and organically grow the revenue stream of our existing products through interaction with customer base.
  • Active engagement and development of futures market structure knowledge, through collaboration with market structure team.

  • Utilize supporting enterprise CRM products including Salesforce and internal applications

Education

Required: B.S. Business (Finance, Economics or a related field)

Preferred: BA, MBA and or CFA

Work Experience

  • A minimum of 5yrs. experience should also include business development experience at either an SRO, or sell-side sales and trading desk derived from an FCM or broker dealer. Or, buy-side asset management firm managing money and or asset gathering.
  • Strong proficiency with MS-Office including presentation software (i.e. PowerPoint) and a CRM, e.g. SalesForce, Confluence, Tableau.

As required by the New York City Human Rights Law, Cboe provides a reasonable range of minimum base salary for roles that may be performed in New York City. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, level of experience, etc. For New York City only, the range of starting base salary for this role is $144,000-$238,000. Additional incentive compensation and benefits may be available.
