Our Internship Program

Cboe interns work with a variety of staff across multiple departments and have the opportunity to put their skills to work in their field of interest, while learning about Exchange technology and operations through our robust Options Institute courses. The three main foundational pillars of our internship program are: develop, educate and network. We want to ensure each of our interns receive a real-world working experience that encourages academic, professional and personal growth. Candidates should be versatile, eager and able to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive financial and technical environment. Our internship program runs from June to August.

UI/UX Designer Intern, Role Overview:

Cboe Global Markets UX team is seeking a talented, and creative User Experience intern to join our team during the summer. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about user experience and design. This is a role for a creative person with an eye for detail, deep knowledge of industry tools, and the skill to solve complex challenges around elaborate tools and websites. This role will work mentored by our experience team, in user research, data synthesis, prototyping and create high fidelity mockups. The intern will work closely with the UX and development teams, learning new skills and having an immersive experience, while learning the ins and outs of the industry.

This position is full-time and based in our Lenexa, Kansas office.

Responsibilities:

• Support the continued development of the companies design system
• Understand User psychology to provide effective and efficient designs and prototypes for several devices
• Execute all stages of the UI design from concept to hand-off

Requirements:

• Must be an undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in the " User Experience Design" field (UX Design, HCI, Graphic Design, or similar) with a strong interest in the financial markets.
• Ability to work on multiple assignments, work well on a team or on your own, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and customer service skills
• Must be able to commute to Lenexa, Kansas office
