About the Role

You will join a dynamic team dedicated to building and maintaining a robust platform for developers. Your daily tasks will include deploying and upgrading tools and applications, enhancing the platform with a focus on automation, and participating in a support role during office hours. You will also assist in preparing and packaging releases for clients. Our tools and applications are primarily deployed in Kubernetes clusters on AWS, and all infrastructure is managed as code.

Location

This role is located in the United Kingdom, Spain or South Africa. Adhara has a remote first policy meaning your primary workplace can be a remote workplace, there may be an occasional need for in-person meetings and planning sessions, a few times a year.

Adhara is an exciting new technology company focused on building real time solutions for multi-currency global liquidity management, FX and international payments, based on tokenized money over smart contract-enabled, decentralized ledgers.

Adhara’s primary audience includes financial institutions and corporate treasuries, offering them compatible and compliant banking grade solutions based on enterprise blockchain technology and smart contracts.

We have built a talented team of developers, platform engineers and product experts and are now looking for someone to join our very experienced platform team as a Junior Platform Engineer.

Requirements and Skills

• Fluent in English – reading, writing and speaking.
• Right to legally work in either UK, South Africa or Spain.
• Experience working with GIT, resolving conflicts and managing branches
• Knowledge of the SDLC, DevOps lifecycle and Deployment Strategies.
• Experience working within Linux environments.
• A proactive mindset for identifying problems and areas for improvement. Great problem-solving skills and a genuine enthusiasm for overcoming challenges.
• Ability to work with a team while self-managing and taking responsibility.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining focus and attention to detail.
• Open-minded and willing to learn.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated the ability to work independently.
• Ability to evaluate and plan tasks accordingly.
• A team player with excellent communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with infrastructure as code. Terraform is beneficial.
• Experience administering Kubernetes clusters. EKS is beneficial.
• Experience deploying applications in Kubernetes clusters
• Experience automating, managing and securing infrastructure in public clouds. AWS is beneficial.
• Experience with Gitlab pipelines or similar pipeline automation tool to manage software lifecycle.
• Experience with Helm
• Experience with Flux (GitOps)
• Experience with Go and Java language
